Engaged!!! :)
The week leading up to the proposal Ken had me convinced that we were going to look at rings when I was home that weekend. I had a half marathon on the 8th, the Pink Half in Park City that I was running with mom, helping her to break 2 hours. So we spent time looking online at different rings and planning for the weekend. Fast forward to the weekend. I got home friday around 3:00. Mom, me and Ken went up to Park City to pick up or packets and mom disappered for about twenty minutes to "pick up Kelly's (my roommate) race packet" but really, she was setting stuff up. After we got our packets, we went and watched Dani swim in the blue and white meet, which was awesome!
Saturday morning, mom and I headed up to Park City for the race and it was FREEZING!!! 30 degrees out at the start of the race and it was definitely snowing... but thats ok, we were just excited to run! We started the race with lots of layers to keep warm and a goal to finish and hopefully under 2 hours. 13.1 miles later, after 6 or 7 gel packs and a whole lot of un-layering we crossed the finish line! 1:59.51, PERSONAL BEST FOR MOM!! Crossing the finish line I saw this very handsome looking guys standing there in a pinstripe suit and a pink tie. It was Ken! I was suprised and pretty confused hahahaha! He gave me a hug and my finisher's medal. After that he started saying sweet things to me like I love you, and awesome stuff like that :) and before I knew what was going on he was down on one knee asking me if I would marry him! I was sooo suprised!!!! So many emotions, but all happy!! I was smiling and laughing and just overall in shock! Of course I said yes, gave him a hug, or a few some kisses and between the hugs, kisses and laughing Ken asked me if I wanted to put the ring on, then I saw it and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! This whole proposal was everything I wanted and so much more. My family was there, I have the most amazing fiance, my ring is beautiful, we have it documented on film and lots of pictures! Working on putting some of the pictures up here, but my internet is being crazy... so here is the link to the video if you want to see it, and hopefully I'll get some pictures up a little later!

Mom and I made "Tommy Shirts" to wear for this race. It was awesome :)
I went to the Festival of Colors for the first time this year.... it was AWESOME! Mindy, Ashley, Me, and Ken and a fantastic time throwing colored chalk dust at eachother! Definitely will be going again next year!
Ok, so this is another Festival of Colors picture of me and my fantastic boyfriend Ken. :) We have been 'officially' together since March 25... (but who's keeping track right??) We met at work... we both are lifeguards at the Legacy Center. He is so good to me! And sadly, he is still in Lehi while I am up here... but its ok, I'm just so happy to be able to call him mine! (ok, cheesy moment over....)
These are my roommates!!! They are so awesome and I am so blessed to have them with me this semsester!! From front to back we have Tori, Chanel, Kelly, Me, Kacey and Brennan. I love these girls!

Life is good....
First, I rode my bike to work because it was BEAUTIFUL outside. Once I was at work I got to work with some really cool people, like Ashley and Ken which was awesome. then I got to do first aid on a little girl who slipped and split her chin upen... definitely enjoy doing first aid... then I bought my own guard pack... which I guess you would have to lifeguard as much as I do to be excited about that. After work I went and taugh swim lessons which is always fun then Ashley and I went and got some socks and chicken bakes from costco before going and teaching deep water passive saves to her and Ken's lifeguard class... so.much.fun. After that I got home I got online and ordered me a new running skirt for my race next week and some word magnents. YES!
Yeah, yesterday was a good day.

Thomas James Coleman
This week has been full of ups and downs... definitely the most intense emotional rollercoaster I have ever been on. When something this dramatic and this tragic happens, there is no way for you to go through the experience and come out on the other side as the same person as you were going into it. As much as it was an extreme emotional experience this week, it was in incredible learning and life changing experience for me. I feel like I have so much to say about my experiences this week, but I don't know where to start, and even if I did, I am struggling to find the right words. Here are some things I learned/experienced/remembered this week:
1. Life is precious, never let it pass you by. So many times is it easier to push things off and to get busy and caught up in un-important things. I have been reminded that we need to take the time to enjoy our families and not let the little things stress us out more than they need to. REMEMBER WHAT IS IMPORTANT!
2. My family is incredible. Seriously, I have one of the best families that I know. Watching my mom drop everything when we got the news to go to Idaho to help out to watching everything come together for the funeral services was amazing. It all really came together like a beautifully orchestrated performance.
3. When we face adversity, we are never alone. There have been so many tender mercies and a special spirit of peace and calming around all of us this week. It's incredible that you can go through something this tragic and come out with a deeper understanding of our purpose in life and feel at peace with the accident that took a sweet spirit from our world to the spirit world to be with our Eternal Father.
4. There is an ultimate plan for our lives, and our Father has worked out the details. As we have become more aware of the details surround little Tommy's accident and even the months leading up to Sunday evening it is so so clear that everything was prepared, even down to some small, seemingly insignificant details, so that he could return home to his Father in Heaven. It really has been incredible.
While the loss of Tommy from our lives now is hard we know that he is with our Father in Heaven and that he is more needed there than he was here. I love Tommy, and feel so blessed to have know him. He truely blessed my life through his life, and even in his passing. He is an incredible boy. Until we meet again Tommy, God be with you.

Oh Hey!
In keeping with my whole 'live laugh love' theme I guess I would have to be sharing something I have learned about living. Things do not always go the way we plan. It only takes one word, one letter, an e-mail or a simple encounter to completely change your life. You can go from having a pretty good idea about some things in you life, to being completely clueless... And the even more amazing part about that is that something that you would have thought would have been devistating turns out to be incredibly liberating. Everything we go through is to help shape us and mold us into the person we are ment to be. People come into our lives, people become a part of our lives and sometimes, people fall out of our lives, but I have learned over the years that everyone who touches our lives is ment to teach us something about ourselves and if we let those opportunities pass we have lost the expereince. We have to learn when to let people in, when to hold on to them and when to let go if necessary.
Woah, I guess that was kind of deep... but that basically sums up my personal experiences for the past few weeks... without getting too personal... hahaha :) Hopefully I will get on top of this blogging thing... I really want to write more.... We will just have to see what happens :) I'm up for an adventure... are you?

Done and Done.....
On friday I had the opportuinty to participate in the dedicaiton of the new BYU-Idaho Center on campus. It was incredible! That building is incredible and the service was amazing. The symphony played in the meeting and it really was just an awesome experience!
After the dedication I packed up my car, moved most of my stuff into storage and then drove home... which took WAY longer than it needed to but I got home safe. Last night Dani and I went to the Salt Lake airport to get on a plane to fly to Boise to visit our Dad. When we got there we found out that our flight was delayed an hour, and we were like, oh well. So we were waiting and chillin in the airport. We finally boarded our fligt aroud 6:20 (we were supposed to leave at 5:35) By the time everyone was on, fueled and de-iced we took off around 6:45. Just 10 minutes away from landing we were put into a holding pattern because the Boise airport had shut down due to a snow storm. We tried to land but apparently couldn't see the runway so the pilot pulled up and the sent us back to Salt Lake. Once we landed in Salt Lake, we were all expecting to have to get off and figure out what to do from there.... But wehn we landed they told us that we were going to re-fuel and fly back to Boise. Hahahaha! So we finally got into Boise around 10:45 pm. All in all we feel pretty lucky that considering how much we fly that has only happend once. Now I am just chillin in Boise enjoying a little R & R from the semester! :)
Well, thats it for now from me :) Until next time....
