October 8th, 2011 Ken Decker proposed to me! People keep asking me for the story so I figured I would write it down right here! Here we go!
The week leading up to the proposal Ken had me convinced that we were going to look at rings when I was home that weekend. I had a half marathon on the 8th, the Pink Half in Park City that I was running with mom, helping her to break 2 hours. So we spent time looking online at different rings and planning for the weekend. Fast forward to the weekend. I got home friday around 3:00. Mom, me and Ken went up to Park City to pick up or packets and mom disappered for about twenty minutes to "pick up Kelly's (my roommate) race packet" but really, she was setting stuff up. After we got our packets, we went and watched Dani swim in the blue and white meet, which was awesome!
Saturday morning, mom and I headed up to Park City for the race and it was FREEZING!!! 30 degrees out at the start of the race and it was definitely snowing... but thats ok, we were just excited to run! We started the race with lots of layers to keep warm and a goal to finish and hopefully under 2 hours. 13.1 miles later, after 6 or 7 gel packs and a whole lot of un-layering we crossed the finish line! 1:59.51, PERSONAL BEST FOR MOM!! Crossing the finish line I saw this very handsome looking guys standing there in a pinstripe suit and a pink tie. It was Ken! I was suprised and pretty confused hahahaha! He gave me a hug and my finisher's medal. After that he started saying sweet things to me like I love you, and awesome stuff like that :) and before I knew what was going on he was down on one knee asking me if I would marry him! I was sooo suprised!!!! So many emotions, but all happy!! I was smiling and laughing and just overall in shock! Of course I said yes, gave him a hug, or a few some kisses and between the hugs, kisses and laughing Ken asked me if I wanted to put the ring on, then I saw it and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! This whole proposal was everything I wanted and so much more. My family was there, I have the most amazing fiance, my ring is beautiful, we have it documented on film and lots of pictures! Working on putting some of the pictures up here, but my internet is being crazy... so here is the link to the video if you want to see it, and hopefully I'll get some pictures up a little later!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zGud23QRak

Now we are working on the planning the wedding. The date is set for March 23, 2012 and we couldn't be happier! Life is so good and I am excited for what the future holds of us! Hopefully I'll get a little better and keeping this updated with wedding developments!swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-4056180270419544192011-05-01T16:35:00.000-07:002011-05-01T17:10:28.990-07:00Life as we know it

Well, here we go again, another semester is about two weeks under way and life is busy as usual! The course was beautiful and I really enjoyed it.... even though at that starting line my mom and I both went to turn on our ipods and neither of them turned on! Yup, we ran it without music... It wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be... although I still would have preferred to have music but I still ran a best time... I ran a 1:45 something...

Mom and I made "Tommy Shirts" to wear for this race. Once I was at work I got to work with some really cool people, like Ashley and Ken which was awesome. then I got to do first aid on a little girl who slipped and split her chin upen... definitely enjoy doing first aid... then I bought my own guard pack... which I guess you would have to lifeguard as much as I do to be excited about that. After work I went and taugh swim lessons which is always fun then Ashley and I went and got some socks and chicken bakes from costco before going and teaching deep water passive saves to her and Ken's lifeguard class... so.much.fun. After that I got home I got online and ordered me a new running skirt for my race next week and some word magnents. YES!
Yeah, yesterday was a good day.swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-32097332083786242992011-02-11T20:11:00.000-08:002011-02-11T20:52:51.997-08:00Thomas James Coleman For those of you who don't know, this is my amazing cousin, Tommy Coleman. In this picture he is a little over two and a half years old. Tommy was called back to live with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Feburary 6, 2011.
This week has been full of ups and downs... definitely the most intense emotional rollercoaster I have ever been on. When something this dramatic and this tragic happens, there is no way for you to go through the experience and come out on the other side as the same person as you were going into it. As much as it was an extreme emotional experience this week, it was in incredible learning and life changing experience for me. I feel like I have so much to say about my experiences this week, but I don't know where to start, and even if I did, I am struggling to find the right words. Here are some things I learned/experienced/remembered this week:
1. Life is precious, never let it pass you by. So many times is it easier to push things off and to get busy and caught up in un-important things. I have been reminded that we need to take the time to enjoy our families and not let the little things stress us out more than they need to. REMEMBER WHAT IS IMPORTANT!
2. My family is incredible. Seriously, I have one of the best families that I know. Watching my mom drop everything when we got the news to go to Idaho to help out to watching everything come together for the funeral services was amazing. It all really came together like a beautifully orchestrated performance.
3. When we face adversity, we are never alone. There have been so many tender mercies and a special spirit of peace and calming around all of us this week. It's incredible that you can go through something this tragic and come out with a deeper understanding of our purpose in life and feel at peace with the accident that took a sweet spirit from our world to the spirit world to be with our Eternal Father.
4. There is an ultimate plan for our lives, and our Father has worked out the details. As we have become more aware of the details surround little Tommy's accident and even the months leading up to Sunday evening it is so so clear that everything was prepared, even down to some small, seemingly insignificant details, so that he could return home to his Father in Heaven. It really has been incredible.

While the loss of Tommy from our lives now is hard we know that he is with our Father in Heaven and that he is more needed there than he was here. I love Tommy, and feel so blessed to have know him. He truely blessed my life through his life, and even in his passing. He is an incredible boy. Until we meet again Tommy, God be with you.swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-57604860885131168292011-02-01T18:55:00.000-08:002011-02-01T19:02:04.300-08:00And Life Goes On....Well, I figured since I re-organized my whole blog I should at least put a post up... so here it is! Not much new to report, as the title suggests. Life just keeps going on, same o'l business: swim, work, run, work, eat, work, etc.. Sounds exciting right? Work has been going pretty well, I am getting lots of hours and so I am thinking that I sould be able to pay for my next two semesters by the end of this break, which I definitely feel good about.
Since my though process seems too be really slow right now, and in an effort to keep from dragging this on and on, I'm signing off for now :)swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-61381834869135602772011-01-23T19:55:00.000-08:002011-01-23T20:19:03.374-08:00Oh Hey!So yet again we are seeing my inability to keep a current blog..... I guess I'm just going to keep playing catch-up... but on the bright side, I am getting good at that! :) I have been home from Rexburg for about a month now and things are going pretty well. I am currently working 3.5 jobs and am busy as heck. I am working at a chiropractor's office here in Lehi, lifeguarding that the Lehi Legacy Center, doing some job shadowing at a local physical thearpy office and teaching some private swim lessons.... I work 6 days a week, swim 5 days a week, run 4 days a week, (I was trying to figure out something that I do only 3 and 2 days a week... haven't figured that one out yet....) and I go to the temple once a week. All in all life is pretty darn good.

In keeping with my whole 'live laugh love' theme I guess I would have to be sharing something I have learned about living. Things do not always go the way we plan. It only takes one word, one letter, an e-mail or a simple encounter to completely change your life. You can go from having a pretty good idea about some things in you life, to being completely clueless... And the even more amazing part about that is that something that you would have thought would have been devistating turns out to be incredibly liberating. Everything we go through is to help shape us and mold us into the person we are ment to be. People come into our lives, people become a part of our lives and sometimes, people fall out of our lives, but I have learned over the years that everyone who touches our lives is ment to teach us something about ourselves and if we let those opportunities pass we have lost the expereince. We have to learn when to let people in, when to hold on to them and when to let go if necessary.

Woah, I guess that was kind of deep... but that basically sums up my personal experiences for the past few weeks... without getting too personal... hahaha :) Hopefully I will get on top of this blogging thing... I really want to write more.... We will just have to see what happens :) I'm up for an adventure... are you?swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-52245982055013183402010-12-19T09:23:00.000-08:002010-12-19T09:44:44.244-08:00Done and Done.....Well, it's over :) I finished finals last thursday and I couldn't be happier! I had three finals on thrusday, Anatomy, New Testament and CHEMISTRY. I got a 120/125 on my anatomy final, 67/50 on my New Testament final, and...... 79% on my Chem final!!! That means I might even be able to pull a B- in that class! I am so happy about that because I honestly hate chemistry and will be so happy if I never have to do anything pertaining to that subject again! And I don't think I will have to... at least in my undergrad studies! Overall, finals went great and I am glad to be wrapping up my semester and starting my break. (Don't know how much of a break it wil be, but I'll talk about that later!)
On friday I had the opportuinty to participate in the dedicaiton of the new BYU-Idaho Center on campus. It was incredible! That building is incredible and the service was amazing. The symphony played in the meeting and it really was just an awesome experience!
After the dedication I packed up my car, moved most of my stuff into storage and then drove home... which took WAY longer than it needed to but I got home safe. Last night Dani and I went to the Salt Lake airport to get on a plane to fly to Boise to visit our Dad. When we got there we found out that our flight was delayed an hour, and we were like, oh well. So we were waiting and chillin in the airport. We finally boarded our fligt aroud 6:20 (we were supposed to leave at 5:35) By the time everyone was on, fueled and de-iced we took off around 6:45. Just 10 minutes away from landing we were put into a holding pattern because the Boise airport had shut down due to a snow storm. We tried to land but apparently couldn't see the runway so the pilot pulled up and the sent us back to Salt Lake. Once we landed in Salt Lake, we were all expecting to have to get off and figure out what to do from there.... But wehn we landed they told us that we were going to re-fuel and fly back to Boise. Hahahaha! So we finally got into Boise around 10:45 pm. All in all we feel pretty lucky that considering how much we fly that has only happend once. Now I am just chillin in Boise enjoying a little R & R from the semester! :)
Well, thats it for now from me :) Until next time....swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-47859854680207473222010-12-14T11:47:00.000-08:002010-12-14T12:07:17.613-08:00Live, Laugh, Love
So I've had this blog for awhile now, but I really haven't made much use of it and I've never really had a direction or purpose as to why I would want to. I'm not married, so no cute marriage things to put on here, I am just a college student going to a small church school somewhere in Idaho. But I have decided what I want to use this blog for. The inspiration for this came as a result of some roommate pictures that we took on sunday. This picture in particular. This simple message has been on my mind since then.... and as cliche as this may sound, those three simple words are what life really is about isn't it? We are here to live, laugh and to love. This reminder really could not have come at a better time. Finals are this week and the stress is being laid on thick as I am finishing up my last week of my last chemistry class. I have been trying really hard to not let myself get to overwhelmed with the stress of finals and these words just kind of smacked me up side the head as a gentle reminder of what really is important. So because of the impact that this picture and these simple words of guidence this is my title and direction for my blog. I want to write about the experiences that I live, the experiences that make me laugh, and about the people and experiences that I love.

So here goes! To start off I want to fill in what has happend lately in my life. I am just about to finish up my 5th semester at BYU-Idaho. I am very excited to be on the downhill side of my bacholers program. I have been blessed with some fantastic roommates this semester. I feel like we have become a family in every sense of the word. We tease, we laugh, we get frusterated but we really do love eachother and have all been blessed by one another.
Top row: Brennan, Natalie, Chanel and Kelly
Bottom: Me and Tori

I love these 5 girls so much!

I have been tremendously blessed to have such room-roommate this semester! This is me an Brennan and I basically love her like a sister!
Well, for now that will have to do, but hopefully I will get better at writing on here! Until next time....
swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-74324919024656427722010-12-13T17:12:00.000-08:002010-12-13T17:15:31.588-08:00Its been a long time......Holy Crap! I haven't written anything on here for a long time! Dang, I really wish I was better at this... and now that I want to start writing on here again guess what time it is! FINALS. Great. Well I think that I am going to make catching up on my blog my 'break time' activity. Because, lets be honest, I can only do chemistry for so long before I start to get a headache.
So, until I have some more time to write... (hopefully later tonight) This will have to do. I am still alive and I am doing great. So many things are going great in my life, and hopefully I can catch you up on them soon... Until then just know that chemistry is hurting my brain..... oh boy.swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-32446330439874477502010-06-09T21:09:00.000-07:002010-06-09T21:18:12.623-07:00I have ad o look! something shiny!.....Oh man oh man... I am having the hardest time concentrating right now, so I decided that I would write on my blog... I know.. productive right? Let me tell you why I am having trouble concentrating... it all started this morning at 5:15. My alarm went off telling me to go run and I DIDN'T!! Worst idea EVER! While the extra sleep was nice, it totally wasn't worth it. The I went to two classes... was done by ten. Came home and watched an entertaining hour of friends to relax before I plunged into the dark abis know as my homework. My homework today consisted of filling out 4, count them 1, 2, 3, 4, study guides for my strength training theory test on friday. I would like you to know that I finished 3 of them... and they are LONG! I was working on the last one just barely and I think my brain just stopped.
Other reason why I am having trouble concentrating on my homework is because I am running a DAM RACE in 3 days and I am so pumped! Ok, so yes, I said dam race, but I didn't swear! The race is the TETON DAM RACES, I will be running the half marathon. This will be my second half marathon and I am just so excited this time because I totally know what to expect and I KNOW that I can do better than I did last time! AH! Seriously.... I am so pumped! Anyways, there is my splurge of emotion for the evening. Other than the approaching DAM race there really isn't anything too exciting to report... we had midterms last week and I will know my grades tomorrow. The semester is more than half over which makes me happy. I am dirt poor and that keeps things exciting to say the least. I am working on throwing Heather a bridal shower in my free time (a.k.a. I should be working on it, but I haven't found the time yet....) and yeah... I think that is pretty much it. I think I'll go to bed now... sounds like a good plan. :)swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-58128772519779940832010-06-05T18:39:00.000-07:002010-06-05T18:46:33.272-07:00Pictures.....So, secret confession time... I really like to take pictures. Ok, so I guess that really isn't much of a secret since my blog is full of pictures, but I do. So my roommate Heather is getting married in August and asked my if I would take their engagement pictures. I was super excited! So today we went out and took some! We are planning on taking some more tomorrow, but I just got done playing around on photoshop with these and wanted to put them up somewhere! Enjoy if you want! ;)Beautiful ring! :) Good job Eli.

This last one is my favorite of the ones that we took today!swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-40632268349748642022010-05-26T21:16:00.001-07:002010-05-26T21:32:31.421-07:00Direction.....
So with the semester almost half over, and this being my fourth semester up here I have been thinking alot about the future. I technically am a junior this semester so the thought of grad school has been on my mind a lot. Also, with some of the experiences I have been dealing with this semester I have really been thinking about who I am and what I want. It really has been great! I have learned a lot about myself. One, I have learned that I am stronger than I thought. I have found, time and time again that I have this way of dealing with things that makes them seem easier. This is something that I am really grateful for. Second, I have decided that I am an extreamly motivated person, with a one track mind sometimes. I know that neither of these are totally new things but they are things that I was reminded of.

Ok, so direction for the future... I have decided what I want to do with my life. I want to be an Athletic Trainier and I am so excited about it. I am starting to look into the requirements for grad school and all that jazz. The more I look at it the more excited I get.

I am enjoying the semester with my roommates, they really are the greatest. I don't know where I would be without them! They are amazing! Heather is getting married in August so we have been helping her with that too.

Basically I think the point of this point is that if you have some direction and a goal in sight, dealing with change isn't as hard as it could be. Life is just good :)

OH!! I almost forgot! I would like to give a little shout out to my little sister! Tomorrow Dani is graduating from Lehi High School and I am so proud of her! She will be swimming at BYU-Provo and I couldn't be prouder!! I love you Dani!!
swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-30992975669807321962010-05-18T16:59:00.000-07:002010-05-18T17:54:15.749-07:00Oh Canada.....Alright kids, I'm sure you have all stopped reading this by now because you know that I definitely fail at this blogging thing. I have good excuses I PROMISE! This post is just one explaination! ;) maybe I will explain more later, but I really wanted to share my trip to Canada. So here goes. On April 12, 2010 I got on a bus at 6:00 AM with 34 other sinfonietta member and one fantastic conductor and embarked on our two week journey of British Columbia, Canada and Washington, USA. For those to AMAZING weeks we lived out of a 3x2x2 bag, a charter bus, LDS stake centers and member's homes. It was a fantastic experience. One I would take again in a heart beat if I had a chance, even if it ment missing the first week of school again. These pictures are just a few of the MANY I took. :) IT WAS AMAZING!! Oh and P.S. I need to introduce you to Kelly. You will see lots of her in the following pictures because we hung out together the WHOLE time! :) So here goes.... I hope your excited!

First stop, Cranbrook, BC. While we were in Cranbrook we had the opportunity to visit a History of Rail Travel museum. It was so cool! They had 4 trains in different stages of the restoration process, all from different time periods. This train we are standing in front of is from the early 1900's I believe.

Our group for the train tour. Basically we are the coolest. After this, we went and changed, at dinner provided for us by our 'host stake' and played our concert. (The changing, eating and performing thing happend 12 times in these two weeks. AWESOME!)

This is me on the bus.... on my 20th birthday! Yes dear friends, I celebrated my birthday in Canada. It was great. This bus also became our home away from home... be spent at least 4 hours a day on this bus.... sometimes more. It was great!

This my friends is Trail, BC (on my birthday). Basically it is so pretty! Everywhere we went in Canada was down right breathtaking. We got to spend 2+ hours here. Also, Kelly told everyone that it was my birthday and our tour manager went and bought ice cream sandwiches form my birthday. It was great!

Alright, this has to be one of the major highlights of this trip. The family we stayed with while we were at Trail was so AMAZING! They really made this a night to remember, plus and awesome birthday! While we were eating some snacks after our concert, the husband in the family we were staying with got really excited when he found out that I had brought my camera with me. He ran downstairs and came back up with this Mountie uniform asking me and Kelly if we wanted to try it on. We both looked at eachother and said YES!!!! It was so much fun and he was so excited to let us try them on. Staying with this couple was like staying with grandparents. So so awesome!

This is a view of Castlegar, which is actually where we stayed when we performed in Trail. It, once again was beautiful!

FAVORITE FAMILY!! I love this couple!!! Aren't they just adorable?!? They gave us possibly our best night on tour.

Ok, Kalona, BC. This is my bird friend named Budah. Some kind of falcon. The bird control man was flying her around to get the ducks off the lawn and away from the shore. I don't think she likes me very much......

Ferndale, WA. When we stayed in Ferndale, we stayed with a family that had a 5 acre lot so on sunday after church we went exploring!! This was just a really cool old building on their lot, but it gives you and idea of how pretty it was there!

While in Ferndale, the family took us to the beach, since the lived like 10 minutes away. It was really fun. I had never been to a northwest beach before and they are definitely nothing like the beaches in California. You WOULD NOT want to walk barefoot on this beach, unless you wanted to slice your feet open. Oh and did you know that clams spit? True story.

Vancover is absolutely beautiful!! We stayed in a super nice marriot hotel in downtown Vancover, about 3 blocks away from the ocean and the Olympic torch. We had a fair amount of free time to walk around and terrorize, I mean explore! :)

Our fantastic Vancover group in front of the Olympic torch! It is pretty darn cool! Oh and this is like the only time that we didn't have to be all matchy matchy :) The only time I wore my jeans the whole trip. It rocked!
While in Vancover, we had the opportunity to attend the Vancover Temple open house. It was BREATHTAKING! I love the temple and am so excited for the time that I can go into the temple to do more than just baptisms. It was just awesome!

Yakima, WA we got to go bowling!! It was so much fun! P.S. these people are some of my favorite sinfonietta people!! You have me, Piers, Kelly, Cole and Brian. We basically were the coolest lane ever. Ok, so before you scroll down and see the next picture, I want to tell you the story first. Going into bowling, I was talking smack to Piers about how I was going to beat him. Totally in jest, I mean if you know me, I'm not an awful bowler but I am by no means fantastic either. So the first game goes and I scored second highest behing Piers (who missed a turkey by one pin... this is important to remember). We started the second game and I was doing ok, really close to the other girl in our lane (not pictured... don't think she really liked us) who was trying to beat Piers. So at the 7th frame, Kelly and Cole leaned over and said, hey Kelsey, you could beat her... and it would be AWESOME! I was like yeah that would be cool and I went up to take my turn. Threw the ball and got a strike! SWEET right? Well next frame I did it again!! By this time Piers is freaking out saying that if I get a turkey when he barely missed it that he would be mad and yadda yadda, so I go up on the 9th frame and throw another strike. Who knew!? So by this time, everyone is watching me go. Its my turn for the 10th fram and I throw one, two more strikes!! I missed the third strike by 1 PIN! Ahhhhhh!! O well, it was so cool!!! I just had to take a picture! :)

Definitely a lifetime high score. :) Probably will never happen again, but it was pretty darn cool, I must admit!

Back in Rexburg after an AMAZING once in a lifetime experience!! I will never forget these two weeks or the friendships that I have made! I wish I could do it again! :)

swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-84888119273270529012010-03-21T13:05:00.000-07:002010-03-21T13:29:11.760-07:00Opps....

Once upon a time I made a blog and posted on it every so often. Enjoy, we certinally did! :)
funny story behind this picture... we took these pictures out in the middle of nowhere, seriously we were driving and just pulled off on the side of the road and started taking pictures. While we were over on this train car, Kariann (Pink shirt on the right) was taking a picture of the 6 of us roommates. This car drove past, turned around and pulled off the road. Two guys got out and went up on a pile of rocks for like 30 seconds then came over and offered to take a picture of all 8 of us. We said that would be great and had them take two pictures of us. They asked if we needed anymore and us being the silly, oh so brilliant girls that we are said no. They asked again and we again said no. It was only after they left that we realized that they were probably 'flirting' with us and we didn't even know.... haha.

One more, of me and heather :)

Those are just a few of the MANY pictures we took. Life is full of challenges. But, Life is GREAT. Life is great and the hard times are made easier and better by the people that we keep around us. (I promise I'm ok, but I just came to some realization of some things and thought I would share.) I have such great friends and roommates. My roommates are amazing and have changed my life. Two of my guys friends have had the same affect on me this semester. Because of them I am a better person and I am better able to deal with the things that I face in my life. I am so blessed to have them in my life. Anyways, that was just something that I had beent hinking about a lot and thought I would share. So on friday I did something totally fun and sweet. I did a Murder Mystery dinner and it was AWESOME!! There were 8 of us that went to dinner at Wendy's then came back to my apartment to play the game. It was super intense but don't worry, my character was not the murderer, I was just the knocked up cheerleader... Tehra was a nerd. haha :) it was really fun to spend a night with my friends. This is the whole murder mystery group. Dallin, the one in the brown sweater behind Tehra was the murder... Dallin how could you?!?

swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-10583936299415535912009-11-25T14:53:00.000-08:002009-11-25T15:07:32.775-08:00Life is Amazing.....So right now I am sitting the the Salt Lake International Airport, waiting to fly to Boise to spend Thanksgiving with my dad and my step-mom and I was just thinking about how amazing life really is... I have so much to be thankful for because I have so many things that are AMAZING! Here is a funny video that I thought would make you smile.... its so true, so take some time to be thankful for the things that you have, weather it be advanced technology, AMAZING friends and family, a great school to recieve an education from, a roof over your head and food on your table, just be thankful!! :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r1CZTLk-Gkswimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-740570012536764792009-11-22T07:51:00.000-08:002009-11-22T08:02:11.349-08:00Visiting Home.....Well it's sunday morning and I am writing this post from the comfort of my home in Utah. Woot! It is always nice to get a break from the stress and insanity of college life and spend some time with my family and friend. Unfortunatly I still have homework.... now that my friend, is the true mark of a college student. You get all excited about having a week off from school, and apparently the teachers do too! The just throw you some extra homework as a "thanksgiving present"... really, if you wanted to give me something to be thankful for you could have left the homework back in Rexburg. O well... moving on.
Yesterday I went to Dani's swim meet up in Bountiful. It was so much fun!! Swimming used to be such a big part of my life and I have basically quit 'cold turkey' due to college responsibilities. I was doing ok with it and then I went to the meet yesterday and realized how much I miss it! I got to the meet around 11 A.M. and we didn't leave until 3 P.M. and I was happy and content the WHOLE time! The sounds, the people, even the smell of the pool were just awesome! I'm definatly going to have to get myself back to swimming in December when the semester ends and I become a workaholic....swimkelseyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15655686201247682237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146649270980485711.post-45806397965594473542009-11-20T11:20:00.000-08:002009-11-20T13:10:30.825-08:00Procrastination....Well, it is almost thanksgiving and I really have no desire to do any homework so I decided to make a blog... Sounded like a good idea at the moment! So we will see how this goes. I'm not really sure what one is supposed to write on a blog, but I think that since this is my first post maybe I'll just introduce myself... because I know that so many of you care :) I am Kelsey, I am 19 years old and am currently a sophomore at BYU-Idaho studing exercise physiology. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up but that is ok. I have great friends and an AMAZING family! I really love to swim, although I sadly have not had the time to do so this semester. I also love running! I ran my first half-marathon in June and my first full marathon in September.. you could definatly consider me addicted to it. I am considering running the salt lake half marathon in April.. that is looking like it will be my next big race. I really enjoy dancing, listening to music, cooking, eating and just having a good time!

I really do have some of the best friends I could ask for! First off is my little sister and my mom, they are so amazing!!This is us after the Pocatello Marathon in September.. Dani and Mom both ran the 5K and did GREAT!!

When I came around the last .2 miles of the race I saw Dani standing on the side waiting for me and she ran the finish with me! By far the best part of the race :)

She is GREAT!!!

This semester I have some awesome roommates, like I always do!!
